One of the specials I offered this year was a complimentary maternity session for anyone who booked a newborn session with me. I never had maternity photos taken when I was pregnant with my babies and I so regret not getting all dolled up and stepping in front of the camera with my husband for a few photos of just us TWO (and a big ole belly). 

It has been SO wonderful meeting all the pregnant mamas (and dads-to-be) this year and it has made those newborn sessions so much more special. I love getting to know my clients and forming a bond and relationship with them and I am so thankful for this amazing job.

Kelly and Jared are just as wonderful as they look and I cannot wait to cuddle their sweet baby girl in a few weeks!! Here's a little peek at their sunset session!

I always regretted not having a maternity session when I was pregnant with my two babies. I thought about it, but then talked myself out of it and I will always hate not having these moments captured. I have plenty of "belly" pictures, but there is something so magical about getting dressed up and loving on your sweet belly.  And as a photographer, it's purely amazing to watch soon-to-be parents love on each other as they await the arrival of their new baby. So if you're on the fence about maternity photos - I say DO IT! You will never regret capturing these special moments of your life! And remember - anyone who books a newborn session between now and September receives a complimentary maternity session too (because I truly do think they are THAT important!!). 

I had the honor to photograph Sarah and Rob one gorgeous evening a few weeks ago and they were just perfect. Sarah has THE CUTEST baby bump and her dress was stunning. I can't wait to meet their baby boy in a few short weeks. xo

Amanda Mama + Me | Raleigh Lifestyle Photographer

"And she loved a little boy very very much, even more than she loved herself."

It was such a pleasure to photograph Amanda and her sweet boys. They barely glanced my way, which is just how I like it!! Amanda might have a house full of boys right now, but she'll soon be adding a sweet baby girl to the mix. These guys are going to be the best big brothers and it was so fun to capture mama with her babies.

This sweet mama + all of her babies (with one on the way) were just amazing to work with. I always love seeing the different personalities of children and I especially love when they open up, laugh, smile and giggle with me! 

These mama + me sessions are probably my favorite ever. I love newborn sessions and I love family sessions, but there is nothing better than watching a mama love on her babies. I leave every session smiling and I couldn't be more grateful to the mamas who have let me capture their love and joy.

The McLaughlin Family | Raleigh Lifestyle Maternity Photographer

I met this beautiful mama on my daughter Anna's very first day of kindergarten. She and her sweet daughter, Grace, had matching shoes and Anna and I thought that was SO darn cute. I knew we were destined to be friends. :)

Anna and Grace quickly became "besties" and I am so very thankful to have these two beautiful girls in my life. Megan keeps me sane during the school year and Grace is as sweet as she looks. It was truly an honor to capture their family of three together before the arrival of their dear baby boy.

Mama-to-be Amber | Raleigh Lifestyle Maternity Photographer

Just a few more weeks until this sweet mama-to-be meets here little baby boy. Her little adventurer is going to be loved to the moon and back. And I'm pretty sure his little nursery will soon become his very favorite place to play. There is no detail left undone in this darling nursery! And mama Amber is an amazing designer (not to mention an amazing photographer), so most of the artwork you see, she designed herself! So talented!

These two. Sigh. So in love with each other and their soon-to-be sweet baby girl. I always love getting a peek into others lives and being invited into someone's home is so priceless.
